Question Elevator & Rudder gap seals

I see there are some gap seals available for the tail.
How about some info on them please.
I could put them on when my repaired tail is returned.

I don't see any gap seals listed in the Parts Catalog. Are they available for the CC?

Yes, they are now available, $200 for experimentals, $250 for the STC's version for Top Cubs or Super Cubs. If you have an SLSA then you will need an LOA, $250 with the LOA. Contact Vera at 509-248-1025. We will have a new web store next year with all this stuff prominently displayed. Right now you have to work to find/buy it, I know.

The gap seals are getting rave reviews from everyone who installs them: stall speeds reduced just a bit, but more noticeable is improved control authority right to the stall.

Hey, great minds think alike :-)

If I remember correctly the material is silicone based, or something similar so it is self lubricating. It adds no noticeable friction to the controls.

Does that mean they are not available for the S-LSA models?

My understanding is that you could put them on a S-LSA if you get a Letter of Authorization, just like you would need for any non-standard items on S-LSAs.

Vera took an order for the gap seals for my E-LSA CarbonCub except she said the price was $200 not $150 as quoted by Randy.
Check for the price of the day before you order.
