Default Take a flight along the Mogollon Rim AZ backcountry

What a great day, I flew 70 miles along the Mogollon rim, 100 miles into the AZ backcountry, with 100 mile views...See as far north to Flagstaff and south to Phoenix.

The Rim is basicly 2000' high cliff faces two hundred miles long, famous for Zane Gray living there and writing many of his western novels based on the rim.
A lot of western history and legacy there!

Many lakes on the rim. Meadows everywhere for potential landings both for emergency and just for fun! One landing spot right on the rim! A few campers 30-40 miles from the nearest pavement right on the rim with that view!

The rim in this area is 7500' msl and I was a couple hundred feet more (sometimes)..my stock 100 hp sport cub preformed just fine..

Come fly the AZ backcountry with me!

George, I know you know a thing or two about obstacles. I'll join you flying soon enough.
