    Default Kit

I am planning to move to an LSA aircraft and the EX is currently at the top of my list. I understand the kit is just like the sport cub including cowl flaps and composite cowl inlets. Thee pictures on this site do not show that. Is the kit the same as the sport cub. I have built 3 RV's and compared to an RV this aircraft looks more like some assembly required. How many hours does the average build take.

Carbon Cub EX (Owner built E-AB) is basically the same as the Carbon Cub SS (Factory built S-LSA)

Sport Cub is similar to the Carbon Cubs, with the exception of the firewall forward, which has a Continental O-200 VS the CC-340 or 4 cylinder Lycoming. It is also a factory build S-LSA.

Pat, I've built two RVs myself (www.rv-8.com, www.rv3works.com) and I'd say our EX kit could be done in roughly half the time of a typical RV build.

    Thanks Randy,

I need to sell the RV10 first but hopefully that will go fast and I will be ordering the kit soon.
