Question Changing from Garmin 496 to Garmin Aera 560 in S2?

Has anyone tried converting from a Garmin 496 in an S2 to a new Garmin Aera 560? I assume it needs to change out cables and antennas and get a CubCrafter letter of approval.

You're in luck, since we now offer the 560 in our aircraft no LOA is needed for retrofit. Should be a fairly simple swap, you'll need the appropriate Airgizmo dock... http://www.airgizmos.com/

Be sure and get the wire harness with the bare wire ends so you can wire it into ship's power and audio etc. Also, the GPS and XM antennas are different so you'll need to fish the wires out and swap those.

Thanks for the info Randy. Yes it is still an SLSA. Jon
