Default High Cylinder Head Temps with 0-340

Is anyone having a problem with high cylinder head temps on #2 & #4 cyls. on the 0-340? My #2 & #4 cyl. run between 400 degs and 415 degs in cruise, OAT is high in the mid 90s the #1 & #3 run in the 350 deg. to 370 deg. range. Not sure why the left side runs so much hotter that the right side, Also if I try and climb at a steep angle with low airspeed they have gone up to 450 deg. on #4 and 440 deg. on #3 in climb, the right side stays down below 400 deg. on #1 &#3.
    Thanks

Have you tried warming the bottom of each cylinder one at a time with a hair dryer or heat gun, and watching the gauge to verify that the probes are not mixed up? Thats where I would start...

What do you mean about mixed up? Like I would have #2 in place of # 3?
    Thanks

Exactly. This just verifies that prob #3 is in cylinder #3, etc. Makes sure that you are not troubleshooting a problem with the wrong cylinder.

I checked yesterday and all the probes are on the proper cylinders. Also yesterday I installed the cowl flaps that CubCrafters just sent me and with the cowl flaps fully open the cyl. head temps went down 40 deg. so I am good on the cyl head temps. now.
    Thanks

Hey Mitch, are the cowl flaps that EV is referring to, standard on the CC EX now? I haven't heard Jeff at Suncountry say anything about high cylinder head temps so I'm assuming the new kits and SS models are staying cool even here in AZ.

The cowl flaps have been standard equipment in the kit since late 2010.
