Thank you Randy....Seems like a simple question for a 1/4 million dollar machine !
I appreciate your time and response.
I guess I'm confused as to why a dealer and a factory rep are naive on what has been a real problem,
    and what is the "fix".
Perhaps the problem of poor starting capacity was fixed via the new Hartzell starter.
But it leaves question as to why not use. $108.00 battery (Odyssey) with superior performance for
a pound or two...compared to some motor bike battery?

just dying to know the tech facts...

    thank You

The stock battery is a Power Sonic PTX14-BS which is a 12 AH sealed lead/acid battery. Do a search on "battery" and you should get quite a bit of info. Please feel free to give me a ring for a more in-depth discussion on batteries and starting, 509-248-9491.

do you have any experience with trickle charges on this battery? During periods of inactivity (as mine is right now; as you might recall... ) I bought a charger, and my CarbonCub facility hooked up a quick connect under the seat, so I can keep a trickle charge on it..... Thoughts?

    Thx, Rick

And might the BatteryMinder model 12248 still be good for the stock battery?
