Question Garmin GMC-305 vs 307 right of G3X

For those that get a Garmin G5 left of the G3X they get the GTR-200 over the GMC 305 on right. I'm not sure why 305 vs. 307, I much prefer to have the knobs at times it's easier in winds/turbulence. If the autopilot was mounted over top of the GTR-200, would that solve the problem and allow a 307 to be used on the right?

Garmin is not offering the 307 any longer. 507 is the replacement and does not fit in the stuck.

I'm not sure about that. I believe planes coming off the line with autopilot left of G3X are getting knobs and 307 units. All autopilots RIGHT of G3X stacked with another item are getting 305's.

Garmin has discontinued the GMC 307. Try to find it on Garmin's website and you will be pointed to the GMC 507 which is electrically incompatible with the GMC 307. (GMC 307 is RS-232 interface. GMC 507 is CAN Bus only).

I do realize this as has been discussed prior but they seem to have inventory on them, or had. I don't know if planes are still coming off the line with 307's or not but I know @turbopilot's SS recently came off the line with a 307. At some point, if not already, the inventory will deplete, then what?
