    Default Nose Ribs

    If you look at page 85 of the wing manual, photo 87.

    You will notice that the flanges on the end of the inside double rib is trimmed (narrowed to fit under the nose rib flange).

    Now look at page 120 of the same manual, photo 136.
    While the picture shows the inside single rib flange also trimmed, it is not on the actual part and the nose rib flange scrapes on top of it. I have attached a picture of this. Were the center rib flanges supposed to all be trimmed (either by me or done at the factory?

    This is not well documented in the manual but you need to flatten the nose rib flange with duck bill pliers and bend downward slightly so it doesn't push into the fabric. You should do this with the nose rib in place.

    I think every builder is perplexed by this.
