Default Wing Build EX-3 page 64 center rib rivets

I can't find a notation or drawing telling me which rivets to use for attaching the Center Ribs to the front and back spar. There is a comment on page 64,

"Place two bolts AN3-3A and AN960-10L (head toward the center of the wing) through holes in rear spar under rib #5 and #12 BEFORE riveting ribs in place using HDW-SS/SS42D Rivets"

That would imply that I use HDW-SS/SS42D rivets for all the ribs, but it could also mean I use those rivets specifically for ribs #5 and #12. Unfortunately, that brings up another issue. Not only do I not have any HDW-SS/SS42D rivets, there are none listed on the inventory list. I've read through the inventory sheets and looked in all the plastic totes . . . I can't find 'em.

    I'm stuck.
    Thank for the help

    Mornin’ Lee,

They seem to call those rivets by different part numbers but look in your Totes (13 in my latest kit) and you will see a big bag of 825 stainless steep pop rivets with the totes. Those are used in everything that connects to the spars....center, nose, tail ribs; machined ribs; hangars; drag tubes; nose skins; false spars, etc.

I addressed this in my forum thread on building the EX3 I do believe, so be sure you are following along there.

I had the same question and took a chance on the SS pop rivets.
Next, there is no pre-drilled holes on my spars to place the rib #13.
Are there any instructions or pictures to place rib #13?

Yes, the wing manual has a section addressing installing this rib. You have to drill the holes. Keep reading along, it’s there. Page 182, Outboard Rib
