A high time supercub pilot mentioned that the propeller should be clocked to #1 cylinder TDC to assist in hand propping and balance to the engine firing. The prop should be about 10 o'clock (and 4) when #1 is coming up to the compression cycle.

Hand propping I don't think we have to worry about, but the balance comment was interesting.

With the light weight catto prop is there a clocking preference?
