    Default FX3 SN 0052 Certified

My 3rd. Carbon Cub, this one an FX3, is not 100% complete yet but as of yesterday it is certified. Now off to get some IFR equipment and 40 hours flown off. If your on the fence as to wether or not to pull the trigger on a Carbon Cub I’ll be happy to share all three buying experiences and two selling experiences. All very positive!

Well I got to talk in depth to two potential Cub buyers. They couldn’t raise a single objection that I could’t address to their satisfaction, Honestly, I think both are EX buyers.

I am new to kit airplanes and just getting rolling on a build.
What were the steps required to certify your airplane?

    Steve,
as you approach the end of your build, Mitch will help you with all the paperwork needed to file with the FAA to get your plane ready for the final DAR inspection, and ultimate certification and registration with the FAA.

Look at post #125 here on page 4 of my thread for some insight:

Also check out post #111 here

EAA has a kit you can purchase that has complete instructions along with all the required forms for getting our homebuilt certified. It’s very good and very detailed:

    Dave,

I’m highly interested in your thoughts and experience. I’ve ordered an FX-3 and two months away from configuration lock down. Have tons of questions.

Thanks much but you already have contact with one of the best out there..... Chip and Steve Michaels who works with him. I learn from those guys! Their knowledge and experience with Carbon Cubs far surpasses mine! LOL.

    Dave,

    Thank you.

I actually don’t. Met Chip some 5 years ago and have not spoken to him since. Wanted recommendations from an owner.
