    Default CC11-100 "Community"

The FAA Registry Database shows 93 Sport Cubs. Remarkably spread over 34 states. And only 8 states have more than 3 planes. I know that I look to this community for information and I think this sub-forum is perfect for that. As a recent owner (N998SC in June 2018) I have lots of questions and was hoping to find some "buddies" nearby, but alas, only me in PA and only one in MD.

Any suggestions on how to get more participation in the forum here???

Here is a link to the registry by state:

There are 294 CC11-160 planes in the FAA registry. Only one each in PA and Maryland although some Delaware planes may be domiciled in PA or MD. And, I am guessing there are "kit" planes that are not in the CC11-100 or -160 database.

Many thanks to Scott and Kim Huntington (N536CS..2007 CubCrafters CC11-100 "Sierra" 2008 CubCrafters CC11-100 "Priscilla"), Chip Allen, and Pete Meyer N867SP (N9PW) that have been very helpful to me. Jon Delamarter and Don Yarbrough at Cubcrafters have also been valuable sources of info.

Former owners of my plane Richard Reilly and Drew (Elliot's Dad) Seguin provided lots of info too.

Still useful to have "go to" people with similar equipment.

I knew there was another Sport Cub in Central PA (Registered in Del). Looks like he had a bad day. Hope the plane gets repaired and back flying again.

My first tail wheel training was in a J3 at this Reigle Field. I remember tricky turbulence there for whatever reason. I think there was a 90 degree gusty crosswind. I was flying at another airport a few miles away and the news flash and picture of a yellow cub down freaked out my wife!

Please stay in touch and share or seek info whenever you think it appropriate in these forums.

These are really great airplanes, but they are different from a SuperCub, PA11 or a J3. And, the S-LSA and E-LSA world is "different".
