Default Putting Checklist in G3X Touch ?

Has anyone put the/a checklist in the G3X Touch?

It looks like Garmin has "Checklist Editor 2.30" software, which suggests a checklist could be entered manually.

    Thanks,
    John

Yes, I have one. I created it for my aircraft. You may want to modify it or create your own. I'll try to send it to you if you would like. John

I would love to have a checklist that I could access on the G3X.

It's easy enough to create checklists. Simply download the editor from Garmin and create your own. What is not obvious is the recent firmware change that allows the checklist page to be included in the page selection bar. Having it there is much more convenient than having to go to the root menu page to find it.

I have experienced a problem that the editor seems to have to be run in admin mode.

Be aware that many of the checklist items require you to be on a different MFD page than the checklist. In most cases it can only be used as a real "checklist" and not an "action" list. I don't find that to be a problem but it would perhaps be more useful if you had more than one GDU.

    edit to add -

Unlike charts and databases the checklist file is not uploaded to the GDU, it remains on the SD card. The checklist is only available if the SD card is present. If you cycle through several SD cards then you need to ensure the latest checklist version is on each card before you use it in the airplane.

I created mine just to see how useful they would be. I don't use them very much. They would be more useful with a two display setup.

Send me a private message with your email and I'll send you my current version. I suspect the attach rules won't allow the file format here.
