Default Browns Brewed up a Cub

Recently visited Garry Brown and family at their shop which by all accounts has it all. The Micro Brewing family is near completion of their Carbon Cub EX and it’s been a collaborative effort with the whole family involved. The tolerance for perfection and detail is top notch which suggests this may be one of the nicest kits completed. In these photos you see the airplane in different parts and stages as well in the same building, his parents weekend getaway living quarters. The building itself is a Post and beam, and has room not just for the shop and airplane building and parent quarters but horses, storage and more. Everything is a work of beauty. I can’t wait to see the EX fly. Well done. MK

Have you been flying in and out of Gary's strip?

    Thanks Mark for stopping by!

I have learned so much from building my EX-2 and have made several new acquaintances over the past two years as a result of taking on the project. I did not anticipate the 'extra' benefits that come along with the build like when seeking advice from other builders and pilots who are more than happy to share. Tim Allen has been a great resource and has introduced me to many of you who are on the forum. CC Joe flew in a while back and took my 15 year old daughter Maggie (she has about 25 hours training in a J3) up for an awesome Carbon Cub ride.

I'm looking forward to pulling that control stick back for real!

I like seeing more EXs in process and seeing pictures of builders shops. Great ideas can be picked up.

I like the timber framing too. Looks like a cool place.
