Default New Builder in North Idaho

    Hi All,

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my EX3 kit. I'm a first time builder and i'm feeling just a bit overwhelmed but can't wait to get started. I still have a lot to do to get ready and and finish setting up my shop and a lot of reading still to do. I've read "Chuck and Ryan's Build Tips " and Dave Embry's "Building the EX3 - Tip's and Hints" those and still working through manuals. I'm putting together my to do list now...

    And the journey Begin's...

Congrats Dave! You'll love it. Wish I was up your way to have your back country strips to fly mine in. I was just there floating the Salmon a few weeks ago! Just post if you need help.

    Thanks Dave!

The Salmon area is beautiful! By the way I saw Orange Crush at Missoula back in June and Loved Pistol Pete on the tail. I'm from Oklahoma originally and attended OSU in the late seventies.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.

    Thanks

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

I am about 100 miles up the Clark Fork from Sandpoint. It has been 8 years since I built my EX but they have not changed that much. Let me know if I can help.

BTW, is there a flyin breakfast at SZT in September? It seems that there isn’t every year and I haven’t seen any promotion for one this year.

    Hi Dan,

I'll give a holler when I need a hand and of course if you are up this way let me know. The SZT Fly-in breakfast is this Saturday the 11th.

Ahhh. I think you are probably talking about a friend of mine from here Gregg Simmons. He has 3 EX’s and his son is a senior at OSU and has Pistol Pete on the tail.

Here is Orange Crush. She was sold to someone in California.

I stand corrected. That's what I get for making assumptions.

    Hi Dewey,

I used to live in Scripts Ranch a few years back. Let me know next time you are up this way. We will be heading to the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque around Oct 7th and be gone about 2 weeks.

Just heard today that my Kit ships next week. It's getting real...
