    Down here in North Carolina I train with students in the 95 degree heat also and see 200-220 degree temperatures as well. I fly a 2007 S1 with the Sensenich Ground Adjustable prop and the 4-1 exhaust. The cylinders so far have been doing great with 479hrs on them! I don't remember seeing a big difference in temps when going from the old exhaust to the 4-1 exhaust.

    I was in Yakima for the good weather for 10 days on an intensive training mission with 3 students flying morning and night. 3 days were in the low 100s. OAT Since we were doing many takeoffs and climbs engine oil temps ran 240-250 at times, rest of the time 220.

    I had Pete at the CC shop install the new larger oil cooler. When I flew it back last saturday the highest it got was 200 and that was on the long climb out to depart the area. OAT was in the high 80s to low 90s ...so BIG improvement!

    I still need to test it more in warmer weather but it sure appears to be solved!

    Is there some test card data on the oil cooler for the s2?
    or for the side egress doors on the s2?
