    Maine Bushwackers-Make a Wish-Fly in

Now that July 4 is in the rearview, time to start planning your trip to Maine August 4. This year I have put together with the Town of Dexter, the opportunity to help out Maine Make a Wish. Please plan on attending if you can.
Friday will be some sort of running around Maine and should involve eating.
Saturday is the Make a Wish day at Dexter public beach. We will land on a hayfield and taxi down to the beach. I will attatch a poster. You must be approved by me to go in and out of the hayfield. Its about 1100 ft with power lines on one end and a house and trees on the other. Its not for 150 or 172.

I hope we can raise some significant funds to donate to this worthy cause.

Saturday night will be all you can eat Maine Lobster in my hangar, and JP will bring something to wash it down with.

Sunday morning hope to fly up to Millinocket to check it out

We had a great time last year despite the dang wind, lets make it bigger than last year

    See you in Maine!

Jim it was an honor to help out your cause. If every small town in the USA had a person as community minded as you the world would be a better place. Little did Jim know that all those sleepless nights praying for rain for his crops that it would come on the only day he wanted sunshine. But, even the world's greatest potato and corn farmer can't control the weather. Jim, your work didn't go unnoticed by those that know how much heart and soul you put into this and on a crappy summer day you still gathered $1600 from your kind little town. There are alot of great folks on this site. I'm guessing before this day is done that a few more on here will step up and send a few bucks to help the cause.

Then JP gave a North Woods tour ending in Millinocket

Reed showed us his hotrod Ford

Then back to Jim's and the lake for a swim and dinner. Was great seeing Rene and Cody

Then we landed in the Hayfield in town and crossed a road and taxied thue some back yards to the park for the Make a Wish event

Then back to Jim's for dinner. The Crane's don't mess around when it comes to dinner.

Jim couldn't resist "Roasting " Tom on his engagement
