just got a heads up about some corrosion on the lower end of my struts. 2010 , dry climate plane. Has anyone else had this problem? cost ?

What type of struts are you referring to? Lift struts, shock struts, jury struts, tail brace struts? Pictures?

To help me understand so I may look at my struts, exactly where is the corrosion. I see a bunch of gunk, but not sure where the corrosion is. Attach holes look clean.

I bought my EX in 2010, the same vintage as yours. I looked at all 4 lift struts with a mirror and flashlight. Zero issues with mine.
Yours almost look like paint over dirt rather than corrosion. Hard to tell from an image online.

ya I have a couple more picture that show it better { worst } I will try to post
Corrosion has to be less then 10% the thickness to still be legal

Wow, well now what, replace the strut?
I have not seen this before and if this were an ongoing issue you would think that more comments would be made.
I wonder if builders have primed the inside of the strut tubing before?
