    Of course it's factory built. The point being, does the factory prime the inside? As a builder, seeing this may be an opportunity to clean and prime the inside.

    Lift strut corrosion!

    I have had this part of my kit since 2015. Making progress and nearing paint booth. Looked at these lift struts and found one strut with corrosion.

    Checked with CubCrafters and the first responds is I need to replace it...maybe all four for about $820 each + shipping I suppose.

    I haven't asked engineering yet, but wonder if I could simply inspect, clean it all up and replace hardware? Any experience here?

    WOW!

    Tough situation. Chances are the strut is not reworkable as I bet the holes will be corroded and you would have to go oversized for a fix.
