    The lightbulb just went on!
    so on page 107 of wing manual that squeezing they are showing is no longer done?
    is the gap between the inbd and outbd false spars covered with fabric?

    Yes....you can see in that link I sent you on post #12 where I address that. The factory is making the false spars now so there is no overlapping joint there....you use to have to bend them together to fit right. You are good to go! Rivet away! ;-) (if you've already installed your aileron to check that last rib distance.)

    Hello all,
    on my aileron and flap machined ribs I have noticed that when I use the rivets called out (HDW-SS/SS42D) the puller will pull the center mandrel right out of the center of the rivet leaving a hollow pop rivet. These rivets work great when they are riveting sheet metal together but not so when used on the machined ribs.
    in this location I want maximum shear strength when my flight controls are concerned.
    anybody have any feedback on this?
