    Default Helmets

    Lots of chatter about helmets in the Supercub forums. With the steel tubes in the cockpit of a Sport Cub, it seemed prudent to consider a helmet. I have a long history driving race cars and am quite used to wearing one. 20180622_174834.jpg

    I found the Comptronics Pro Com to be a reasonable choice. Fits well over Bose A20 headset and pretty comfortable. More protection than the helmet I wear when riding my bicycle--fit is sort of the same.

    The helmet is a modified Zox..Taiwan motorcycle helmet that was DOT certified before they made room for the headset. It seems as well made as my expensive Simpson and Bell Snell autoracing helmets.

    Cost of helmet and eyeshield <$300.
