Default top baffle cover and worn baffle seals

I was wondering what folks have been doing to address baffle seals that have worn and starting to disintegrate. It appears when the covers were produced the rubber seals have been sandwiched between layers of the carbon fiber cover. Mine are starting to come apart and curious what others have done?

The very early ones had the baffle seal around the front opening laid up in the carbon fiber plenum. When the cowl and plenum was updated in mid 2012 with the larger openings the baffle seal was changed to be clamped to the outside of the plenum and lower forward baffles.

You may be able to use large head aluminum pop rivets and attach new baffle seal to the outside of the plenum and baffle? Not sure if that would fit, but it would update it to be similar to the newer style even though there is no joggle/flat area for the clamps.

Thank you Pete. Do you have pictures of the baffle seal on newer carbon cubs?

The diagram you have in your first post shows the baffle seals and clamps that attach where your red arrow is. Here is a photo form the side that shows the clamp and seal in place.
