More heat is a really good thing. The naca duct on the bottom is a really smart way to increase airflow through the system which is the main issue. The original scoop doesn't really work well. Looking forward to hearing more of the great design changes.

Thanks gents. Aerodynamic studies were performed with computer simulations which we then validated with flight testing. The data was very telling and led us to this new inlet duct concept and development. The packaging of 2 heat exchangers was indeed a design feat and the end product is clean and simple, with nice short scat runs.

Was the crankcase breather tube dumping into the middle of the 4 into 1 exhaust fitting new for the FX3?

Your pic is easier to see, here's what mine looks like with everything else in place.

Yes, with FX-3 using the new, more powerful CC363i engine it does have an updated exhaust system. The tubes are the same as used on Xcub. This breather tube exit feature has been included on the Carbon Cub SS model for some time.
