Default SB00018 broken welds in horizontal stab

Just found the diagonal brace welds broken on one end of the "c" channel inside the left horizontal stabilizer...The brace feels like it's 1/2-5/8 tall and is around .032 thick material. Seems like ultra thin material for a structural member....it's not rib stitched either. Does anyone have a picture of an uncovered horizontal stab at the trailing edge of the first stitched brace? The parts manual has uncovered view...but isnt a very good pic.Carbon Cub SS....s/n 118

Question Re: SB00018 broken welds in horizontal stab

Hi Jim I may have the same problem that you are having or should I say had. I was cleaning the underside of my left horizontal stabilizer and could hear a loose piece of metal rattling inside. Do you know what the procedure is for repairing that?

    Tim,

Our team is already in discussion with your mechanic on the issue, working towards a suitable resolution.
Don Yarbrough is on point here at the factory; his number is (509)367-5201.

Tim....Jim Plaster here after redoing my crashed account. I ended up replacing both stabs on my bird to avoid future issues with the other side that wasn’t broken. Not a bad job replacing them...just take your time doing it. Jon and the crew at Cubcrafters we’re a HUGE help in getting the parts shipped out.If I can help you...shoot me a message
