    Default Johnson Creek 2017

As in years past, the CubCrafters crew helped sponsor the Johnson Creek Fly-In. Officially labeled Big Tires and Campfires (and formally known as National Bushwheel Awareness Week), the event attracted Cub drivers from across the USA, Canada, and we even had a Carbon Cub flyer from South Africa (great to see you Klaas).

CubCrafters cooked dinner for Saturday evening: beef stew featuring 90 lbs. of cow and a 10-bottle wine reduction. Jim Richmond served his home-brewed Dead Stick Ale.

I’ll let others write about flying the surrounding strips as I was focused on the chow, but I heard that everyone had a fantastic weekend.

Looks like the weather cleared up too, John!

Wish I could have been there.... perhaps next year!

Ok, those pics have just moved the Johnson Creek Flyin a couple of positions up my 2019/20 bucket list! Looks like a great time had by all.

John, it was a pleasure hanging out with you and the rest of the CubCrafters gang last weekend. Johnson Creek has always been one of my favorite places, although it's really just barely camping, considering you've got wifi and showers. I guess that's why my wife likes it so much too!
