    Yeah its a "high cruise" setting, or what I like to call "race the sun to the airport so the deer don't run out in front of me!". I haven't been able to find any performance/power numbers for the "non-LSA' versions so not sure what actual power percentages would be. I would speculate that at that setting its more in the 85-90% range. I typically crawl along at 1900-2100 rpm but try to run it hard every so often to make sure it gets a good workout.

    Pete, so it's set up to display groundspeed on the ribbon and not actual airspeed?

    Correct. The 796 is just a handheld GPS with no tie to the pitot/static system of the aircraft. All info is GPS based.

    Race the sun rpm, now I understand completely.
