Operationally, if you open the snap vents facing backwards that can help pull air up in the cabin from the floor. Doesn't work for all situations, but worth trying.

Also, leaning helps. If EGTs are only 900-1000 you won't get as much heat as if you lean properly and get higher EGTs.

For Carbon Cubs SN 93-236 there is the cabin heat retrofit option that essentially converts firewall forward to the 2012 model year and up configuration:

CC has 40amps if I remember right. I only pull 4 amps with the heated pad on high. No trouble to run them.

Sport cub 30 amp. I have a stylish Millwaukee heated jacket headed my way to try. The seat idea looks good too, the wife unit has those in her Toyota they rock.
I have the cub uncowled standing back scratching my head. Have a couple ideas to try if it ever stops raining. Our beauty snow is turning to crap

Parts are on order so it will be a bit before I know. Just concerned that the muff will not have enough clearance on the forward left stack to the cowling. There is a chance that the stock one will not even fit on the exhaust.

The other idea is to tie air from the plenum which should have more pressure and create more flow. I think the lack of air flow is the biggest issue. That scoop does not work.

Right now at -10c I can still just see my breath. The heat doesn't do much.
I did some measuring last night I agree with you, its going to be really close to fit another muff on that left pipe, I think it will hit the cowl Please post some pix when you make the mod.

I've pasted a link to my Vetterman exhaust thread from 2012. I've got pictures of the extra muffs and also, not seen very well in the pics, is a separate heat muff for carb heat.

One of the guys over on sc.org had a tip on getting more heat out of your heat muff. Take the shroud off of your muffler/heat muff and take a long wire spring and wrap it around the surface of the muffler or exhaust header. The spring will be in contact with the hot surface and transfer the heat to the wire spring spirals. The air gaps between the stretched spirals of the spring will offer more hot surface area then just the normal smooth surface for the passing air to absorb more heat on its way to the cabin.
