I also had my primer line break at the gascolatir. At about 200 hours. I thought this was unique to me and my installation but appears it's getting to be what you could call common. At very minimum I like Troy's idea for stabilizing the unit to reduce vibration.

Might be a good idea to do both the 4" coil and stabilize the gascolator or reinforce the firewall at the gascolator.

Right. I've got a 4" coil in already but wonder like someone said if 2 coils wouldn't have been a lot better.

Hi, Bill! Actually, I discovered the issue at preflight, so never had a chance to make it a glider.

In 6 years of operation on the west coast i have never needed to use the primer. May be easier for some folks to disconnect and cap the primer line. Anyone know a source for a cap fitting that would plug the primer adapter fitting?

If you can make it through the winter in Alberta without using the primer we have the answer.

can a poly line not be used instead of rigid copper? There must be a reason or I guess they would have designed it that way.
