    OK,
I contacted the company. I am VERY interested:

"Yes, the engine is available for production.

Listed catalogue price for basic TP-100 engine with standard accessories is 85,000 USD per engine."

    + propeller + Mount + engine controller + ....

BUT... wow that would be something.

May have to extend my cowl a bit...

    Great. I'm glad.

There are going to be 100 details to work out but it sounds like it might be a possibility. It's less expensive than I heard at Sun-N-Fun, then it was > $110k.

You might be able to make some money on this engine mod. If you do the engineering and make accurate drawings, I would suspect there would be an after market for this engine configuration on the EX, EX-2 and dare I say X-Cub? Cool...

Problem with the Turboprop is the Fuel consumption of 18gallons per hour, this is cutting your range by 50% or so...
    A big tradeoff...

    Old Husky,

    Your right.

Per my discussions with the TP100 company, you need 60 gallons for 3 hours of flying time + reserves. That engine burns an average of 14.5-15 gal/hr. (just under 30 gal/hr at 100% output)
So let's see, extended range tanks gives you 44 gallons (40 usable) so a belly tank would be needed.

Not sure where you could fit this jet engine you mention on a Husky...

    Now,

Assuming you only have two choices, the CD-155 or the Austro E4, with big weight difference but only 15HP difference, which would you prefer...(no mogas engines, no turbines, no jet engines) just between these two diesel engines...

    Thanks
