    Looks like he put it on a sandbar. The story comments on engine trouble. Y'all hear about this?

    Looks like that guy needs bigger tires. At least he had the presence of mind to report engine trouble after he got stuck. It'll be interesting to see what happens when it starts right up at the airport in front of the NTSB investigator.

    Peolpe say you don't need 31s. Hope it works out for him. Most likely Carb Ice!

    While certainly carb ice is a possibility, I was wondering if he had a fluctuating oil pressure. That would certainly mandate an emergency landing to check it out. And could resolve without intervention...

    35s are great for soft stuff. Try running 4-5psi.

    The point I was trying to make is the pilot needs to pay attention a little more, some stuff they don't make big enough tire to float on it.

    In the above pic he has 3 or so lbs in the 31's
