    Looks like he put it on a sandbar. The story comments on engine trouble. Y'all hear about this?

    Looks like that guy needs bigger tires. At least he had the presence of mind to report engine trouble after he got stuck. It'll be interesting to see what happens when it starts right up at the airport in front of the NTSB investigator.

    The owner is one of our builders and a friend of Clay's. The reservoir is in western MA.

    While certainly carb ice is a possibility, I was wondering if he had a fluctuating oil pressure. That would certainly mandate an emergency landing to check it out. And could resolve without intervention...

    Intermittent problems are difficult to diagnose. Had some of those ourselves.
