Default Fuselage Crate Dimensions and YRC Shipping Delivery Questions

New builder and will be taking delivery of a wing and fuselage kit next week. I plan to have it shipped to the hanger and I have access to a forklift truck.

Can someone tell me the dimensions of the shipping crate? I know it is 18 ft long (??) but could not find the width and height when using the search function.

Also, YRC is the shipper, any problems using a forklift to remove the crate out of their trucks?

Thanks, and look forward to building a great kit.

My YRC driver orchestrated the proceedings.
The crate was dragged out most of the way and the end rested on an old palate. The forklift can then pick the crate from mid span and swing it out of the truck.

    Don't drop it!

WxH about 5' x 5' We used a forklift with no problems, but others have used a tilt bed auto hauler. Think of it as a giant egg that you don't want to break. Check for damage before the driver leaves. It is very well packaged, there should not be any issues.

Good Luck with your build. You will find a lot of help right here on the forum.

Thanks. Looks like there shouldn't be any issues. And I will be very careful not to drop the egg!

Just FYI for those in the future that might search this subject:

    Length: 18 ft
    Width: 39 inches
    Height: 7 ft

which means it won't fit under the Cessna wing, I need to do some rearranging!
