Default Should I send it back???

Oh jeez. OK I just received my EX-2 kit. It is still in the box and I was hoping to get to unloading/ inventory/ starting this weekend. (The Box arrived 5d after my first call to CC so the shop was a bit unprepared - that is now rectified.)
    But now this:

Do I just screw the panels back on the box and send it back??

    Crap.

In the experimental world you will only have the latest stuff for a very short time frame if ever. It changes so fast. I sure am curious as to what this is about though!

    David -

I may be way off base here but I don't think you need to send your kit back. This sounds more like a certified ship to replace the Top Cub. I was a bit irked when the EX2 came out while I was building my EX and the changes could not be retrofitted. I am now flying my EX and could not be happier. The EX2 changes are actually pretty subtle. As Troy said, the experimental world changes fast.
Feel for the people who are building a Just Fly STOL with a Rotax and the guy down the street is putting an 0-340 in his Super STOL.

Curiously, a couple of the factory webcams are off-line.

It must be very difficult to keep a new airplane model a secret, what with the FAA involved and all...And all those public records available on the FAA website...Too bad they didn't include pictures.

So is it true that it will be a turbine powered cub using radar evading stealth technology, or is that just a rumor?

TWIN turbine, you were close. I can't say much more because I plan on threatening to release what I found if CC refuses my offer of getting S/N XXXX-0211 free of charge in exchange for my silence...(God I WISH!!!)

The OP can safely save the return freight and continue with his build. Ultimately I think we will all want at least one of each, so my suggestion is to plan your hangar expansion now, and possibly playing the Power Ball lottery twice as often, if necessary.

I’m guessing something fast, two place and plastic (with Paul B’s reference to Diamond). That would be a departure from CC build practices and launch a whole new world of possibilities. Interesting. We shall see.

p.s. I’m not going to send it back, I’m going to build a great airplane and enjoy the heck out of it like you guys are doing!
