    Default Fitting windscreen

I am at the point where I can fit the wind screen prior to painting. Trouble is the manual says to set the height at the top based on the wing being on. You can defiantly move it up or down a bit from its relaxed position. It seems that if the wind screen is tight to the boot cowl it is locked though , as long as the factory trim is right that would set the location. Is there any other way to set it or do I really have to wait until the wings are on?

We do it before wing installation on the line, but we have a special jig that bolts in place and replicates the leading edges of the wings which need to match up to the relief in the windshield. Definitely recommend you wait till your wings are on.

Darn. I was afraid you would say that.

Thanks. I just hate the idea of shavings falling on the hardware underneath. I will try my best to protect it at the time. At least I got the panel drilled now and I will use the wind screen to mark the line for the paint transition.
