Default 1,000 Miles in a Carbon Cub

Last Fall I moved my Carbon Cub from Roche Harbor, Washington (WA09) to Santa Maria, CA (KSMX). With a friend we documented the trip with 3 video cameras including a 4K camera on the wing. Two installments have been published documenting the trip. Here is the first. Second will be in next post. In 50 years of flying I never had more fun on an airplane ride.

Thank you, Bob and Fred. Nice look at the California that not many folks see.

    Lots of great off-airport spots!

Great video. Flying low and slow on a big trip looks like lots of fun. It's not about getting to the destination but enjoying the flight it self. In our Rv10 we go high, suck O2 and plan for 1000nm or better a day. We miss lots of neat things you would see down low. We are looking forward to finishing and traveling the west below the mountain peaks......and landing at the places we always wish we found land😃

Goes perfect with Cheerios, a very relaxing and immersive experience. However, if your goal was to hobble my desire for CC ownership, you two have failed miserably...And thank you for that.

    Tom -

No, this Pilot Rock is in Jackson County and featured in the second video.

Your area is a good place to fly a Cub also. Good luck and enjoy your build. I would like to check your area out when I am done with mine.
