    Default Check your cable crimps

    I just finished re crimping all my cable crimps. They did not pass the no go gauge. For the sake of safety I felt it was important to post this.

    They looked like this before I re crimped. There really should not be a gap when the bolts are finger tight.

    This is how the no go gauge should look when they pass.


    This would not pass final inspection if your inspector has this 5 dollar tool with him. All are accessible even if you are flying.

    Yes Mitch knows. Not sure how they are addressing it to make sure they get checked. Maybe mine was a one of? But all crimps were not 100% right.
