    Default Navcom for G3X

Anyone ever install a Garmin nav/com ? If so, where/how did you route your nav antenna?

I can tell you where not to put it. Installed on back of extended baggage. I get signal blocking at times. Probably best bet would be the antenna that will go in wingtip but don't think they work that well either. Would be curious if better solution.

The Comant CI-159c is the antenna of choice for this application. It has the 2 hole pattern for mounting to the top of the Vertical Stab. A coax cable is routed down the inside of the stabilizer and up along the stringer in the fuselage. Of course this is all easiest before cover.
