    Default Lubrication: Stabilizer Tube

Anyone know what LUBRICATION is recommended for the STABILIZER TUBE? AeroShell Grease 6? I looked everywhere - Fuselage & Finish Manuals, Miscellaneous DropBox folder - but no-dice! How about a Annual Conformity Inspection document?

For initial assembly I used white lithium grease. For regular maintenance I use the Aeroshell product.

    CCC11-160 Maintenance Manual Section 6.2, page 4.
The "Lubrication Chart" shows Mobilgrease 28 (Aeroshell 22 equivalent) for the stabilizer jackscrew. Is that what you were looking for?

Not the jackscrew, but the steel tube that connects the two horizontal stabilizers.

Thanks for the info on the Maintenance Manual. Where do you find that file? It's not in my "Manuals" DropBox folder.

You can download the latest update to the Maintenance Manual, and the one specific to your plane, from the Support Section of the web site, and specifically under Owner Support.

Here is the link. You have to select what you are looking for, and then you will get the pdf!

Section 6.2, pages 4-5, gives you a comprehensive list called Lubrication Chart, where all items to be lubed are paired up with the recommended type of lubrication. The Stabilizer Tube Liners are indeed recommended to be lubed with Mobilegrease 28, which is what I used.

Thanks Rick. I couldn't find a Maintenance Manual for the CCK-1865 (the Experimental Am-Built). Do we just use the CC-160 (LSA) instead?

Yes, you can use the CC-160 Manual for virtually all maintenance items. The planes are 98% the same, and for maintenance virtually identical.
For sure, the lubrication chart applies to both!
