    Default Aircraft electric ground

I did my own panel and bought the wire kit from CC. What nut and washer goes on the ships ground under the seat? I can't find a reference in the fuselage, finish, or executive glass manual. Lock nut or regular nut with spring lock washer like what's on the solenoids? Stainless or cadmium plated?

    Mitch was off today.

    Thanks

I believe they use a high temp self locking nut (like an AN363) and one AN960 washer.

I usually try and put the smaller, more delicate wire terminals underneath the larger more robust battery ground terminal, so the battery ground terminal is at the top of the stack right underneath the AN960 washer.

Thanks Pete. That's how I have them stacked. I will use your advice.

When I was installing, I'm thinking we used a ny-lock (AN365), but a high temp version will serve the same purpose. The washer was eliminated since the ring terminal serves in its place.

One issue to watch for is not having the surface of the tab at the base of the stud free of powder coat. I think something gets put over the stud now before sending the fuselage to powder coat but it wasn't always that way.
