    Default Attaching Boot Cowl

The CC design calls for securing the boot cowl with sheet metal screws. I don't like em. You start out with #4 and three years and a couple of annuals later some of them require #6. A few years later and you need some #8. Etc.

The very best thing to do to eliminate this problem would be to use nut plates. But oh what a tedious and time consuming job!

So I came up with a halfway solution. Not as good as nut plates but way better than depending on sheet metal screws to fetch up tight in the thin steel of the fabric spacers. I used #4 flat tinnermans secured to the inside of the frame with adhesive. Leftover Methacrylate would be good. I used Aqua Seal leftover from fixing some hip boots. A strong bond isn't really necessary as you just need the tinnermans to stay put long enough and well enough to get a screw started.
