    Default Outside Temp Gauge

Has anyone mounted a Davtron Temp Gauge? Wondering where the best place is to mount the probe.

Typically OAT probes are installed either in the bottom flat part of the wing root cover that wraps around the front of the wing or the bottom flat part of the small wing root panel back by the flap. The general idea is that it not be in direct sun or in the airflow coming from the engine. The belly would not be a recommended location due to warm air coming out of the engine cowling possibly causing inaccurate readings.

What instrument panel do you have? There may be a way to add a probe to existing equipment in the airplane.

Thanks Pete. I just have basic panel so I would need to add a complete unit.
