I was able to get out for a little while this afternoon. This was the first flight on these carbon fiber straight skis.

I didn't go too far from home base the first flight. Snow showers were coming and going all day.

I really like the performance of these straight skis. Acceleration was quick. Quick enough to set me back in the seat. With a temperature of about 10 F the density altitude computes to about sea level. I rarely see sea level performance and it is a blast.

These tall pedestals allow for a lot of angle of attack. I haven't had a chance to test them in deep powder yet but hopefully soon.

I used a winch mounted on the back hangar wall to pull it back in.
