    Default CC340 Engine Restriction

Hello, new to the forum, joined because I have a burning question.

The CC340 engine is stated to have a max takeoff power of 180hp and a max continuous of 80hp. Is the restriction because of the engine itself of because of LSA requirements that exist in the USA? Is it possible to operate the high gross Carbon Cub EX with the CC340 and cruise using the full range of throttle?

    Any reply's are appreciated.

    Thanks

Yes that is a requirement for the LSA not for the engine.

Andrew, the CCEX can also be registered as E-AB with an 1865 lb gross and cruising at full power to your hearts content.
