I took the drawing provided on Dropbox to my local steel fabricator. They modeled them up in 3D, sent it to me for approval, and they should be ready to pick up next week. Had them make a pair of them so both wings could be completed at same time. Already have a pair of Cuby wings that will use them when I'm done so they will get some use, even after the EX is covered and painted.

Okay so I picked up 2 of the 3 wing rotisseries yesterday. They came out great, a little overkill but some would say they same about the Carbon Cub!

These racks are deluxe, Pete. The joints at the centre and the connecting hardware is top notch and makes it easy for transporting. They're gonna attract some attention.

Thanks Paul, needed to be able to break them down for transport and storage. Ended up having three built, two for me and one for my fellow MD CCEX builder.

Sure seems like there ought to be a few sets of these rotisseries that can get passed from builder to builder. If they were built so that they could be disassembled even further to facilitate shipping, and there were 2-3 sets around, seems like that would be a good program.

    Hmm, Mitch?

Mine can be broken down for transport, shipping would get pricey with the weight and size.

    Very nice!

Has anyone tried using the Wag Aero rotators with their Carbon Cub?

That looks like a viable option

They do work but they are not connected together so they tend to walk. If you rotate the wing without watching it, it can collapse. I have heard of some guys bolting it to the floor.

OK guys, the wing and fuselage rotators are close enough that i have been given permission to release the company name and price. The company name is: Bogert Aviation and the combination wing and fuselage fixtures will sell for $1,500.00. They are fully powder coated and are able to ship UPS in three boxes. You will need to purchase two 20lb. barbell weights and a 17' long piece of 1.75" X 1.75" X .090" steel box to make them work. I will include Bogert Aviation's complete information below. You will probably see them on their website soon.

    Address:
    Bogert Aviation
    3606 N Swallow Ave
    Pasco, WA 99301

    E-mail: Patty.Maher@bogertgroup.com
    Telephone: 509-736-1513
    Fax: 509-272-0280

    Mitch

Do you know the total length of the complete rotators? With a 17' connector I am guessing 20' or more. Plus need a bit of room to get around it.

Need to make sure it will fit in the garage / paint booth.

    thanks

    Chuck
