    Question Map pocket

My name is Bill Rice and I have SN 124 Carbon Cub on the line.
I looks as though there is no place to put maps and other small items - glasses, water etc.
I was wondering what others have done.
A map pocket would be a welcome addition.

I found some nice ones at sportys pilot shop online . They stick on with velcro and are even grey to somewhat match the interior. I also put one on back of pilots seat. about $16 each. Royce

Once we get our new web site launched, and the new kit manual finished, we'll move on to the accessory catalog. No question we need to source a good selection of cockpit storage solutions. There is indeed one at Sporty's that I've seen in several Sport Cubs that is a good start, I believe it's this one...

Randy, I have two of those "Pilot Pouches" from Sportys:

I have charts and an E6B (I'm old-fashioned that way!) in the one on the left side, and keep my water bottle and snacks in the one on the right. They're attached to the sidewall with the included Velcro stick-on strips, and secured to the steel tube structure at the top with a piece of twine.

Like wise. I have a Sporty's right and left front cockpit and on back of pilot's seat per previous posts. They work great. If CC were to design specific for the SC I would change the Sporty's design somewhat but until then Sporty's work fine.

I bent up left and right .016 T3 aluminum map pockets with inside dimensions 1 3/4 by 6 1/2 by 11 inches. I left 1/2 inch external flange on the sides and rear. Used 1/2 inch Velcro to attach map pockets to sidewalls. Half inch rubber channel was used to protect front opening. Make sure panels and flanges are cleaned before applying the Velcro.

    That's a nice job!!!
With that much velcro it should hold very well.
Double sided foam tape would make it almost permanent.
That's like the Piper map pockets.
    Thanks for the input.
