    Default Elevator Gap Seal Poll

    I Have Used Elevator Gap Seals before, and Find Them To Be:

    You may choose more than one response.

    1) A Great Improvement and would not be without them.

    2) A Good to Fair Improvement.

    3) A Very Minimal Improvement.

    4) No Improvement.

    5) Some improvement but Not Worth the Cost, and would not buy them again.

    6) I would Buy them if they were about half the price.

    I checked a fair improvement. But I would have preferred a choice between fair and great and can't live without them. I did live without them for many hours but consider the improved elevator authority to be noticeable and all positive.

    The short answer is I like 'em.

    I didn't expect a great improvement. But any gains on the pitch control margin at low speeds are valuable. I would hate to give them up. They aren't elegant but they are efficient. I had one blow out but have been reversing their orientation periodically which seems to have made them more survivable. Plus it removes any trapped contamination.

    I would agree with TahoeCub, the main thing I notice with them is the rudder and elevator are crisper (especially the elevator) at slow slow speeds.
