    Default CC340 Break-In RPM?

The CC340 maintenance manual shows the following..."During the first 50hours of the break-in period, piston rings will seat best if cruise is maintained at 65% to 75%power. "

Have seen in previous posts that others used 2600RPM for the first 2 hrs, 2500RPM for the next 8 hrs and 2400 after that.

Since the POH only shows up to 80HP (~44% power), do these RPMs generally keep it in the 65-75% power range for the break-in? Have compared other POHs with 180 HP engines and it looks like it does.

    Jon,

We'll talk you through proper break-in operation thoroughly when you're up here for delivery. The earlier hours are the most important, you want to run it hard to the extent that temps allow, but again we'll talk you through the specifics.
