    Default Vernatherm

Is a Vernatherm routinely installed as part of the oil filter option? If not, I may need to install one.

My engine, which does have the factory installed oil filter, has always been very slow to bring oil temperature up. That is true even here in Florida. Oil temperature eventually stabilizes around 140 degrees. I am not keen on covering part of the oil cooler given the high ambient temperatures we can get in the summer.

    Hi Carl

I had the same problem here in New Zealand and even on our hot days could only get to 155F even with half the cooler blanked. The Vernatherm (now at 35 hours) has completely solved the problem.

Mitch's Tip #4 in this forum describes the installation.
