    Default 2 more builder's tips

DSC02639.jpgTo find the 4 holes in the skylite cut the heads off of 4 AN3 bolts and sharpen the end and screw them into the holes in the fuselage set the skylite in place and push down and the bolts will make a mark in the paper covering the skylite.
One other tip to protect the large rear baggage compartment sheetmetal use clear truck bedliner paint or it can be tinted the color of your plane it will take 2 coats. The clear bedliner paint can be bought at most paint & body supply places

EV painted the extended baggage area in my Carbon Cub and it turned out GREAT!!! I think (just my personal preference) that it looks better than bare aluminum, and it doesn't scratch or mar - just like a pick-up bed liner!! Thanks, EV

    Hi Chip,
What color did EV paint your baggage....did you go with just a clear finish or color? I'm thinking of doing the same in black.

I used Rust-Oleum Truck Bend Coating. Black with some texture. and put an extra coat on the floor. Estimated weight, Randy...8 oz. ;-)

EV can tell us more, but it is not clear; it looks like a medium "brown" or dark tan color, but really durable - I think it was a good move.

I can't read what's on the can but I thought we matched your inside door color.
