I flew BB to Alaska last weekend on wheels with the 52" Cartridge and saw 108 MPH indicated at 6500 ft and 2500 rpm. Fuel burn leaned averaged right at 5 gph. Take off rpm was 2550 and it would redline at full throttle straight and level. The high compression pistons, polished and grooved ports together with the four into none exhaust turned it into a real performer. Probably nearly 120 hp according to the engine shop. It is to be put on the Baumann 1500 straight floats this week and I expect to put in the 48' cartridge. With such light wing loading and a good power loading, I am expecting fun things.
